Gates Washer and Manufacturing Company
was originally started in 1927 by Mr. Joe Gates and was purchased by Mr. Clarence Jorgensen in 1931, who then built the company to a position of prominence in specialty washers and light stampings.
Now in its third generation, the company continues to grow through systems that encompass and promote employee involvement for quality and productivity. Our customers include many of the FORTUNE 500 in the automotive and aerospace fields. In fact, we fulfilled the Apollo space stringent requirements, resulting in our washers reaching the moon!
Gates' facilities now comprise two buildings of over 32,000 square feet. Automatic punch presses vary in size from 2 to 75 tons, and produce parts from a variety of metals, plastics and other materials in speeds reaching nearly 1,000,000 pieces per hour!
